State of the Art First Aid Training
L. Finstad First Aid Training has been in operation since December 2012 as a first aid training business in Southern Alberta. The owner of this operation, Lynette Finstad previously co-owned another First Aid Training and Medical Standby business, for 8 years, and sold that business in order to focus primarily on first aid and safety instruction.
L.Finstad First Aid Training operates both as a mobile training centre. We are able to come to your location and provide training on site if a space is available, and we also have 2 training centres; one in Medicine Hat and one in Lethbridge.
Lynette is a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner, Heart and Stroke Master Instructor, ACSA WHMIS Trainer, and Back Injury Prevention Instructor. Her business is unique in that she has a background in Emergency medicine, both as an RN and as an Emergency Medical Responder.
Class sizes are smaller than most training centres; maximum 14 students, allowing for more one-on-one student instructor time. State of the art feedback CPR manikins and trainers are used in order to provide each student with instant feedback or skill performance. A student first learning environment is created in part by a 1:1 manikin to student ratio for CPR training, the use of multi-media teaching tools, and hands on supplies for scenario based first aid instruction. Learning styles are always considered in all of the training sessions, with customized courses available for the English as a second language.
L. Finstad First Aid Training is also a sales agent for Philips Canada, Automated External Defibrillators.
