Lynette began her career as a Registered Nurse in 1989, taking special interest in trauma and post surgical nursing, later becoming a professional ski patroller and Emergency Medical Responder.

The instruction you receive in her courses is of the highest quality you will receive anywhere. She strives to create a comfortable, relaxed and professional learning environment for all her students. The acquisition of skills and knowledge in her classes is her highest priority.

My husband and I just completed CPR Certification with Lynette and It was an excellent learning session.
Her instruction style is professional and very informative but also non-intimidating. She encourages questions and answers them all clearly and concisely . What I appreciated most is her thorough and understandable explanation of how the body works and how the CPR interventions work to save a life. She insists on proper technique and patiently assists you until it is correct, always in a respectful manner.
I recommend anyone who is taking CPR to attend Lynette’s session as you will not only be proficient in CPR, but you will have a thorough understanding of how and why. It will be rewarding and beneficial.Gail Graham
My name is Len Barkman, and I am the Director of Cypress Hills Camp – a year round camp and conference center located in Cypress Hills Prov. Park (Sask). We run camps for children ages 6-18 throughout the summer months and during the fall and winter we run retreats and conferences.
We have had Lynette come and do our first aid training for our camp staff on three different occasions. She has always been very much appreciated as she has been very informative and also very accommodating. Lynette has a very pleasant way of presenting the facts about first aid. Not only does she have the knowledge about first aid, but she has had the first hand experience working as a first responder with health services. Our staff has enjoyed taking the course and those of us who have taken it before – we always look forward to her coming back. This past June, Lynette came back and helped a number of us get our first aid re-certified.
I would highly recommend her as a first aid instructor.Len Barkman
Lynette is a passionate instructor, extremely knowledgeable about first aid and CPR, while keeping an environment comfortable for learning; she is serious yet keeps the class lighthearted so as not to intimidate even those most unsure of their skill level.
Lynette is a pleasure to instruct with, because of her background she is an excellent resource for those of us who co-instruct.Bernie Heffner
Having Lynette come to Chinook Village to provide First Aid training for our staff has been extremely valuable. We had both the one and two day courses presented and the hands on training and the class content are presented in a methodical manner. Our staff have commented on the classes taken as being easy to follow and full of information. We look forward to working together in the years ahead.Gary Sawatzky CFP
Lynette Finstad was my first introduction to EMS when I took the EMR training from her in 2009. Her teaching style was concise, dynamic, clear, hands-on, and thorough. She prepared the class for real life scenarios, while also giving us the necessary tools for handily passing the Alberta College Of Paramedics exam. She used visual, tactile, written, and auditory methods in her teaching, making the instruction memorable and practical.
I was also employed by Lynette in the EMS workplace and found her leadership skills to be first-rate. She was professional with patients and other employees, prompt and respectful in correspondence, personable in the workplace, and courteous in her demeanor.
Lynette’s character is an integral part of her business. I have found her to be honest and trustworthy in work as well as her personal life. I highly recommend her.Lydia Collin
We contracted with Lynette Finstad to train our staff and day home providers in Standard First Aid for the first time in May 2014. We thought we would never replace our regular instructor, who retired, with someone comparable to her.
Well Lynette proved herself worthy.
Lynette has provided us with the best training I have experienced in my 32 years of working in the child care field.
She presents the course content in detail and with a story line. We did not feel we were losing out on a Saturday as the training was fun and informative. Our staff had only good things to say about the training sessions. We have booked Lynette 4 times now and will be continuing our working relationship with her.Claudine Crook
We have been using Lynette for our First Aid and CPR training for several years now and would not consider using anyone else.
Lynette is very thorough and a great presenter, clear and concise, and draws on her years of experience to keep the group interested and focused.
It is my pleasure to recommend Lynette Finstad.Dr. R.K. Grover DMD
